Our childbirth teachers will give you and your partner a detailed overview of what to expect physically, mentally, and emotionally. But, that's just the beginning. We also:

-Show you how to recognize and make appropriate choices under stress
-Give you many strategies for coping with labor in all phases
-Teach you how to question and communicate with hospital staff without intimidation (or hostility)
-Suggest ways to take care of yourself prenatally that will help you have a more enjoyable pregnancy and a smoother birth
-Provide you with friendly prenatal and postpartum community resources that understand alternative health issues
-Collaborate with you in answering ALL your childbirth questions
-Throughorly discuss the pros and cons of every aspect of routine hospital procedures
-Prepare strategies for avoiding procedures you do not want and getting those you do want
-Get you prepared for breastfeeding and newborn care with helpful tips and advice
Our classes are small, informal, friendly, and fun. Our teachers are not paid by any hospital, so we are able to tell you the whole story and help you plan honestly and appropriately for your birth.

-How to prepare your home environment to be conducive to a calm birth
-Get you prepared for breastfeeding and newborn care with helpful tips and advice
